Ah, Wilderness! Bill O’Reilly found the time tonight to forcefully yelp, “looters should be shot on sight”. The President spent 3/4 of his news conference discussing oil and his lunch with Alan Greenspan. Meanwhile, nonplussed viewers of “Mainstream Media” were treated to footage of dehydrated, starving, dying people screaming for help. We’re being implored on all sides to support the privatization of our own security and relief; tax dollars apparently support only a super-retarded (i.e. slow) emergency response. But the President is confident and understands the situation.
What we need now, more than ever, are platitudes. We need rhetoric and sophistry like never before. Without it, the ability of this sterling government of ours to protect us from harm will surely be compromised. The promise of a permanent Republican majority will be jeopardized. The neo-cons will... uh... You see, the President thinks about these things every day. If the global warming crowd... Umm... It’s people like Michael Moore who... [pause] Okay. I give up. I’m throwing in the towel. It’s useless to even try.

Peggy. Jeebus Kripes. Freakin' Peggy Noonan. Must be one of the Talking Points. As if people stealing shoes are even worth talking about at a time like this. I think someone should loot Peggy, then shoot her and feed her stringy meat to the refugees. From what I understand, some of 'em are so hungry that they'd choke down just about anything.
What's happening in New Orleans is no worse than a fraternity hazing. You Blame America First, Lefty Bush-Haters will never understand the meaning of sacrifice. It always falls to real patriots to do the hard work, to keep our eyes on the prize. You don't have the stomach for the price of liberty. Freedom isn't free, asshole, and we have to lead the fight by example. You are probably going to start bitching about race and class now. Go ahead. Nobody's listening. America is on to you. And if you were African-American you sure as hell would want a chance to live in freedom in Louisiana rather than in Burkina Faso or wherever ther hell you're from. Asshole.
Guys, I really want to be able to intelligently debate these neo-con fools...but I feel like they are just swivel-headed morons who repeat the party line. It's like the idea of intelligent debate was never explained to them. They enter a battle of wits unarmed, or so it seems. All I want to do to them cannot be named. I want them to stare into Nharlyotep's gaping maw and be absorbed by the swirling chaos. I want them to implode and discover themselves reborn as poor single black mothers with 14 children. I want them to UNDERSTAND that they are killing America. But they won't. They just won't.
Which makes me want to take a machete and go crazy, Vorhees style, on the whole messy affair.
But that won't help either.
