Arthur Miller 1916—2005
He showed that the American Dream was a sham. He defined modern drama. He put up with Marilyn Monroe's low self-esteem and drug problems. That's enough for several lives, I'd say.

The new Artistic Director for the company I'm currently working with recently altered the season he was given to produce, replacing ALL MY SONS with OVER THE TAVERN.
I hope he feels like a complete asshole now.
Arthur Miller is to modern drama what Justin Hall is to post-modern drama. Protean chronicler of human condition, of how you can stuff yourself pretty full of shreds.
I kindly suggest that y'all read this if you haven't already.
