Reading the bullet points (were points ever more appropriately "bulleted?") you can see that the author clearly is floating between reality and fantasy. He points out some interesting stuff but totally misses the point. Oooh, Lincoln's goal wasn't to free the slaves. REALLY?

That's why the Emancipation Proclamation wasn't issued until halfway through the war and still only freed slaves in the South. Lincoln also said that he would continue slavery to uphold the Union. But, Lincoln did eventually issue the Emancipation Proclamation. His actions did lead to the end of slavery. And he preserved the Union (for whatever that's worth).

Other points: Corruption in government, SHOCKING!! You might as well say "Liberals say there was no sunshine during the Coolidge administration, NOT SO!!!" It's as if this guy, and this book, prove the rule that they don't know what they're talking about with the exceptions of tantalizing facts. Asswipes!
